Xylitol
Introduction: Xylitol is like white crystal or crystallized powder without any smell. It occurs naturally In many fruits and is even generated by the human body during metabolism. Xylitol is a good-tasting bulk sweetener with equal to that of sugar. A strongly negative heat of solution combine with high solubility allows xylitol to provide an intense and refreshing cooling sensation in the mouth. Xylitol is non-cariogenic, the ability of xylitol to inhibit the development of new caries (tooth decay) has been demonstrated in numerous clinical and field studies around the world, regular consumption for xylitol-containing products, particularly chewing gum is required to protect our teeth.
Application: Acknowledged as safe for the teeth, worldwide scope for sugar-free chewing gum, it can be marketed with the internationally recognized logo. Xylitol induces very low glycaemia and therefore suitable for diabetics, it can be directly eat, or be used in cakes, nutrition product etc. Due to Xylitol unique dental properties, it is also used in oral hygiene products. It can be readily incorporated into toothpastes and mouthwashes.
