Sucralose,1,6-Dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-b-D-fructofuranosyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-A-D-galacotopyranos-ide-(4,1¹,6¹-Trichlorogalactosucrose) is one kind of semi-natural product made of sucrose. Sucralose is a non-caloric artificial sweetener roughly 600x sweeter than sucrose. It has been approved for use in the United States, the European Union, Australia, China, Japan, India, and a number of other markets. Its growing popularity owes to the fact that it has a sweetness profile nearly identical to sugar. Also, unlike most other artificial sweeteners, sucralose actually tastes like sugar and does not leave an unpleasant aftertaste.
